	Virtually untouched and unspoilt, this lovely little pub is a rare treat. Behind its plain exterior is a collection of small bars with wooden floors, panels, partitions, bar counters and furniture, most of it oak. Stained or painted black, the timber creates a warm and pleasing atmosphere. Add to this candlelight and open fires and you have a very cosy pub indeed. www.windsor-castle-pub.co.uk	The partitions which separate the original bars have tiny doors in them, which were probably used by cleaners. but now create much myrth as large tourists try to squeeze through them. The pub was built in the early 1800’s and has grown a little through the years, but without losing any of its magic. One bar is no smoking and you can hire a bar or two for private functions. The Windsor Castle offers food throughout the day. Well filled sandwiches or ciabatta for under £5 and main courses around £7. Daily specials include dishes like steamed mussels or you can try the speciality sausages. There’s a garden at the rear of the pub with plenty of seating.
