Film director Guy Ritchie is to sell the Punchbowl to Cirrus Inns according to a trade magazine Publican's Morning Advertiser (19 March 2013)

Tucked away in the back streets of exclusive Mayfair, this pretty little pub was built in the 1750's and is the second oldest pub in Mayfair, the oldest being the Guinea. Window boxes and hanging baskets decorate the wooden frontage, its double doors open into the single bar, which is plain and simple, with bare floorboards and timber panelling.

A refurbishment has removed the partition between the public and saloon bars, this has created space at the expense of intimacy. So far the lovely etched glass door panels remain, as well as the wooden partition along the hallway, with its etched glass and tiny door, which runs along the former entrance and hallway. One of the Punch Bowl's owners is film director Guy Ritchie. One note of caution; this is a Mayfair pub with prices to match.
