The Adam and Eve pub nestles against a high wall in Norwich's historic Bishopgate, just a short walk from the Cathedral. Thought to have been built on the site of a monastic brewhouse, this attractive flint and brick pub is largely 17th century with later additions, such as the Dutch gable end.
It's a cosy little place with the main bar served from a tiny counter, a lower cellar like bar (where tables can be reserved) and a small lobby at the front. The short menu comprises sandwiches, bagettes and salads with hot specials on the blackboard. There are a three to four cask ales on offer as well as a cider and large whisky selection.
