Nestling in the Wyvern Valley, next to a picturesque bridge and stream, is the White Hart at Ford. This former 16th century coaching inn lies on the old coach road to Bath. Now it's a popular pub known for its excellent ales and wholesome food. The oldest and cosiest part has a flagstone floor and an open fire, the date on the mantle reads 1553. A tranquil courtyard provides a pleasant spot overlooking the trout stream. The are 11 good quality bedrooms, some in the main building and four in a cottage opposite the pub (see rooms and rates).
