They say don't judge a book by its cover and this little pub can't help its appearance. It may be plain on the outside, but it's a little beauty on the inside, comfortable and honest. A pleasing bar with some intimate cosy corners, the overall feel is that of a country pub. The carved oak furniture must be from a church and looks odd in this small space.
The tennants ( a rarety in London) are friendly and courteous, and although this is a local's pub, there's a welcome for everyone. The food is basic but adequate and the beers well kept. When you pay, listen for the 'ching' of the old till.
Very handy for Queens (Tennis) Club, it's almost in the grounds! Colton Arms -

This is a gem of a pub. My wife and I visit London twice a year and always visit this wonderful pub. The tenants are very friendly and interesting to converse with. Well kept London Pride in handled mugs adds to the enjoyment of visiting this establishment.
