This attractive upmarket inn and restaurant stands in Eastgate and is one of Bury's oldest surviving hostelries, being at least 400 years old. Although it no longer has stabling for 100 horses, it continues to offer shelter and sustenance for travellers and locals alike. Superior en-suite rooms are provided in an ancient barn, converted by local craftsmen. Much of the food is sourced locally too and is freshly cooked.
