Made up of a row of 19th century cottages the Rising Sun has existed in various guises for nearly 150 years. It is currently a Brakspear pub serving Thai food. although the emphasis seems more on the food; it has a vaguely sterile 'take-away' feel rather than a homely pub, which needs addressing. The decor is pleasantly traditional and there's a nice courtyard at the back for alfresco dining. The ales are well kept and the authentic Thai food is good, reasonably priced and freshly prepared.
