There seems to be a growing number of Sam Smith's pubs in this part of the West End. That isn't a complaint. Like the Blue Posts, they tend to be of the traditional variety; lots of dark wood, no music and pleasantly relaxed.
This is a popular pub with local office workers and the postal sorting chaps across the road. The food is of the pub grub variety, pies, mousaka etc for around £6 -£7, but not bad quality. The draught beers are very reasonably priced for central London.
This pub has Old Brewery Bitter but it's a pity more Smith's pubs don't carry real ales on tap, that said, there are plenty of interesting beers on offer, including the cloudy wheat beer, a nutty stout and a bottled organic cider. Certainly worth popping into whatever your tipple.
