It's all about the beer - stupid. The Craft Beer Company has a mission to be the best place for beer - in the world. When the CBC took over the old Clock House in London's Leather Lane, famous for its street market, there was a fear it might go-all-wine-bar or gastro, like so many in the area. But none of it. Instead it is a beer paradise, stocking not only 16 cask ales from independent UK microbreweries, but exotic continental lagers and over 300 bottled beers from around the world.
The pub has been emptied of paraphernalia but still has a nice traditional pub ambience, a long polished bar for all those beer pulls and an extraordinary mirrored ceiling. The bar food of scotch eggs, pork pies and the like, will not distract you from the serious business of savouring a superb pint.
