The Royal is a family run hotel surrounded by beautiful countryside near Ullswater. It has 10 traditionally furnished en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, a cosy bar with local real ales and a pleasant garden. It's a popular stop with walkers, the Helvellyn and High Street mountain ranges are right on the doorstep. It has a good rating with guests who found it clean, reasonably priced and both convenient and quiet.
