More 'pubby' than most in Hampstead, the Duke of Hamilton prides itself on the quality of its beers. This long-time CAMRA listed pub has Fuller's Pride and ESB as its mainstay and there's usually a guest or two, mainly from the Home Counties. Cider drinkers will be pleased to see Old Rosie on the bar and special continental lagers should satisfy the rest.
The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, the décor traditional and comfortable. The pictures and posters are mostly sporting, in particular rugby and cricket. Sports events are shown on the tv, which is mute, thankfully, at other times. In common with many pro-active pubs these days, there are plenty of events and activities to attract customers, including beer and cider festivals, spit roasts and music nights.
Notes: Food consists of rolls and sandwiches only. Music Night - Monday. Bank Holiday Hog Roast. The basement bar is available for hire. The Duke of Hamilton -

A fantastic pub. The friendly publican administered first aid (a refreshing pint of Pride) to the dumb Aussie who staggered in after three hours walking the Heath. Miles in front of the tourist traps in the centre of Hampstead.
