Formed of three 18th century cottages, the King and Queen is.the oldest and nicest of Caterham-on-the-Hill’s pubs. An unassuming exterior hides an appealing interior of exposed brickwork, old beams and curiously sloping brick fireplaces. It seems the upper floors of the cottages have been removed to gain height. A local’s pub, it has an active darts team and hosts live music and quiz nights; the beers are pretty good too and the pub is Camra and Cask Marque listed.
