Where Floral Street meets Garrick Lane, Rose Street cuts between the two. There you'll find the Lamb & Flag. A small wooden fronted pub, at 300 years, the oldest in Covent Garden.
It used to be known as the Bucket of Blood because of the bare-fist fights that were held here. Today the only fight you'll see is the one to get to the busy bar. At these times there's the smoke-filled, noisy atmosphere unique to the British pub, either you love it or hate it.

Low beams, wood panelling and bare pine floor add to the olde worlde atmosphere. At the back of the ground floor bar are some wooden settles and a fireplace.
Upstairs there's a restaurant and another bar, which is handy as this pub can become very busy. It's popular with local workers, Covent Garden shoppers and the odd tourists who manage to find it.
