Originally opened as a funeral directors, this corner pub has been serving its local community for over a century.
Pubs like this and the terraced houses that it adjoins, were once commonplace. Many were demolished after World War II, to make way for high-rise blocks.
Somehow Roupell Street and its neighbours were spared and ironically now have conservation status.
There are two bars, public and saloon, both simply furnished and a conservatory at the rear.

It's a friendly and welcoming pub, where local residents mix with office workers and the numerous commuters who pop in on their way to Waterloo Station.
In the public bar some interesting photographs show how the pub and its surroundings used to be. The pub looks better now, if anything, helped by some attractive hanging baskets.
On Saturday there's a comedy club from 9pm.
